Tessellate Recordings was established in January 2012 by Harry Towell, from Lincolnshire in the UK. Since 2010, Harry has ran netlabel Audio Gourmet, which specialises in free fifteen minute EPs. (www.audiogourmet.net) Audio Gourmet also releases full album content for paid download and to celebrate the label’s first birthday, a physical compilation album was released. This foray into limited edition physical editions has led to the birth of Tessellate Recordings, which will concentrate on highly limited edition CDr releases whilst Audio Gourmet will continue to provide free EPs.

Tessellate Recordings will release infrequently with physical albums and a compilation series called Earthtones. We will also make the albums available for purchase digitally via Bandcamp.
Musically, Tessellate Recordings intends to continue in the vein of Audio Gourmet, focussing on music that loosely falls in the modern ambient music category with an emphasis on lo-fi electro-acoustic sounds.
